Performing Ensemble is an audition or by invitation musical theatre training and performing program for students aged 9-15. Students will work with professional directors, choreographers, musical directors and vocal coaches over a four-month period to prepare a showcase of solos, duets, and group numbers. The ensemble and artistic staff will work together to create a polished and professional product to “take on the road” and perform at events throughout the Bay Area.

Weekly 2-hour classes in Lafayette (83 Lafayette Circle) will include a dance warm-up, vocal technique and performance material. Students will have the opportunity to audition for additional solos to present in our showcase. In addition to performances during the holiday season at local tree lightings, retirement homes and ice rinks, the fall 2023 troupe will be recording a holiday album at Modern Tone recording studio in Lafayette.

Students who wish to be considered for our troupe are strongly encouraged to participate in additional dance classes and vocal training throughout the week to ensure they are building a strong technical foundation in the performing arts.
